We’re excited to present a truly one-of-a-kind steel shuttle artwork, handcrafted by Peter A. Scott, the talented husband of our club member Ezreena Scott, and generously donated in support of the 2026 Yonex Canadian Masters Championships.
Peter has over 35 years of experience in construction and currently works as a supervisor for a local industrial construction company (Systematic Mill Installations). He has always loved working with metal, which led him to become an ironworker and welder. Outside of work, Peter creates custom metalwork as a hobby, from garden décor to medieval weapons.
Badminton has played a significant role in Ezreena’s life, and she has spent countless hours playing at the Kelowna Badminton Club. Wanting to contribute something meaningful to the club and support fundraising efforts for Nationals in April, she asked Peter if he would create a metal representation of a badminton shuttle. His response was simple: “For you, yes.” When Peter creates something, he first "sleeps on it" and by morning, his brain has produced the design.
KBC is deeply grateful to Ezreena and Peter for their creativity, generosity, and thoughtful contribution. This striking piece has been thoughtfully created and donated as a way of giving back to the Kelowna badminton community and helping support the hosting of Canadian Masters Nationals here in Kelowna.
